Zahra Jalali is a Ph.D. student at the Department of Architecture, Built Environment and Construction Engineering (DABC) at Politecnico di Milano. She earned her Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering for Risk Mitigation at Politecnico di Milano. Her master’s thesis focused on the development of a semi-automated framework for bridge inspection, combining drone imagery, photogrammetry, and deep learning techniques for structural defect detection and assessment. Her Ph.D. research focuses on the analysis and management of structural health monitoring data, using machine learning approaches for anomaly detection and infrastructure maintenance management..
