ERIES – SCOUR & SHAKE

ERIES – SCOUR&SHAKE: project description

The ERIES_SCOUR&SHAKE project (Structural Performance monitoring and evaluation of scoured bridges under dynamic actions) aims to investigate the performance of scoured bridges under dynamic excitations. Dynamic tests will be carried out on a scaled bridge model in the healthy (pre-scour) state and in several scoured configurations, and after repair with inexpensive remedial measures. The experimental model will be entirely built at the laboratories of the University of Bristol (United Kingdom) where it will be tested. The investigation of vibration-based approaches for scour detection, constitute one of the main original aspects of the project. Industrial partners are involved in the project and will offer in-kind contributions in terms of sensing devices and support in the detailed design of the model.

Dataset ERIES – SCOUR&SHAKE

Description: This open access dataset is provided to support research and development on the project topic. It includes results from a comprehensive experimental campaign investigating the dynamic response of bridge piers on embedded caisson foundations under scour conditions. The dataset is intended for use in academic, scientific, and engineering applications and is freely available for download and reuse. We encourage its use for benchmarking, validation, and methodological development. Proper citation is appreciated when using this dataset in publications or presentations.
