Riccardo Liuzzo is a PhD student at the Department of Architecture, Built Environment, and Construction Engineering (DABC) at Politecnico di Milano. He earned his Master’s degree in Building Systems Engineering with a focus on structural systems in 2024 from Politecnico di Milano. His Master’s thesis, titled “Satellite InSAR monitoring of critical infrastructures: application to real case studies”, explored the potential of InSAR technology for monitoring infrastructures, with a particular focus on bridges.
Currently, his PhD research is centered on enhancing the reliability of InSAR monitoring data applied to critical infrastructures. His work aims to improve the accuracy and applicability of satellite-based monitoring systems for the structural health monitoring of bridges and other essential infrastructures.
