Othmane Lasri

Eng. Othmane Lasri is a PhD student in the Department of Architecture, Built Environment and Construction Engineering (DABC) at Politecnico di Milano, where he works on infrastructure analysis and monitoring through remote sensing using SAR satellite data. He earned his cum laude degree in Structural Civil Engineering from the Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna in 2021, with a thesis on traffic-induced vibration monitoring of bridges. He has been a visiting PhD student at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) and at the Institute for Electromagnetic Sensing of the Environment of the National Research Council of Italy (CNR-IREA). An IDEA League PhD awardee, he is involved in several Italian and European projects focused on enhancing the monitoring and risk assessment of civil infrastructure. He also serves as a teaching assistant for Master’s courses on Seismic Constructions at Politecnico di Milano. He has professional experience in structural design and has worked as a budget cost controller for a general contractor company.
