Asmit holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s degree in Remote Sensing and GIS from the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), with a specialization in disaster risk management. During his master’s studies, he conducted research on the characterization of land subsidence using InSAR technology, focusing on its impact on urban infrastructure. Currently, he is a MSCA doctoral candidate under the BRIDGITISE program at Politecnico di Milano, with a secondment at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, where his research focuses on integrating InSAR-derived and environmental measurements for anomaly detection in bridges.
