I am an Assistant Professor at Politecnico di Milano, Italy, an IDEA League fellow, and a Marie Curie Individual Fellowship awardee. I completed my Ph.D. in Architecture, Built Environment, and Construction Engineering at Politecnico di Milano in 2021 with honors (Cum Laude). I also hold an Erasmus Mundus Master’s degree in Structural Analysis of Monuments and Historical Constructions (SAHC) from the University of Minho, Portugal, and the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, Spain, following a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the University of Bologna, Italy, (Cum Laude).
I am actively engaged with IABSE-IT and serve on the board of EVACES-IA. My primary research interests are in Structural Health Monitoring (SHM), focusing on advancing monitoring and management practices for civil structures and infrastructure systems. My overarching goal is to foster a safer, resilient, and sustainable built environment through innovative research and applications. Specific research areas include the Value of Information (VoI) from Bayesian decision theory, Vibration-Based SHM, InSAR satellite monitoring, and Bridge Management Systems. I am involved in several Italian and European research projects aligned with these objectives.
