Safeer Ahmad Zaheer is a PhD student at the Department of Architecture, Built Environment, and Construction Engineering (DABC) of Politecnico di Milano. He completed his B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology Lahore, Pakistan, in 2015 and M.Sc. in Structural Engineering from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Hungary, on a fully funded Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship in 2019.
Safeer will be working under BRIDGITISE program for the DC8 TWINS project on “Probabilistic Digital Twins for continuous bridge performance modelling”. He will conduct his doctoral research under the supervision of Prof. Giuseppe Mancini at SACERTIS Ingegneria SRL, Prof. Michael Havbro Faber at North Consulting and Prof. Maria Pina Limongelli at Politecnico di Milano. Safeer will contribute to creating advanced digital platforms that integrate Structural Health Monitoring data into Bridge Information Modelling systems. His research aims to develop probabilistic digital twin models for continuous bridge performance assessment, enhancing infrastructure safety, resilience, and sustainability.
